Introduction-the halloween guardian by Mo-fox

On Halloween night, the portals to the worlds of monsters is opened wider than usual, allowing monsters to come in to destroy the world. No one sees them though, as no one believes they come any more. However, they do, and every year they come in countless numbers. Luckily enough, tradition keeps up, and the costumes confuse the creatures. They are not all turned away by these costumed people though, some stay, and  someone is there to push them back into their portals.

The spirit of All Hallows Eve, Aurelia Hallow, protected the holiday for 200 years, and 305 years before that, when the gates first opened, from the monsters, alone, and unknown. She never minded, she enjoyed her job. Aurelia did it without needing to be seen, not needing to assure the people during her holiday.

This year was no different. Aurelia sat on top of a roof top in Connecticut, her large double bladed scythe leaning on her shoulder. She had long brown hair, golden streaks flickering through it. She wore a black halter top that had golden decals over it's edges, and a black skirt with long black leggings reaching down to her bare feet. Aurelia orange witch's robe was tightly around her, as the snow began.

"Jackie!" Aurelia called out, her voice singing around the era. She looked around and noticed the white haired boy floating not too far away. "There you are! Where have you been?" Aurelia stood up, smiling at the boy.

"Busy," Jack Frost answered.

"Being a guardian must be difficult. It's been two years now, right?" Aurelia stepped off the roof, and a broom appeared under her feet, allowing her to fly over to Jack.

"About, it doesn't feel that long." Jack sighed. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good, finding new ways to fight monsters back," Aurelia shrugged, "as always." Jack chuckled at Auleria's answer.

"Do you ever take a break? You're not even a guardian." Jack landed softly on the roof, freezing it over.

"I can't take a break. If it weren't for me, this place would be over run with demons and monsters, and there would be no guardians!" Aurelia crossed her arms.

"Which is why I'm surprised Moony doesn't want you to be one."

Aurelia said nothing at first, thinking about Jack's words. "I don't need to be a guardian to know I'm needed. I'm happy being invisible, it's easier to play pranks, and it allows me to fly through people if there's a monster behind them," she finally said, looking around at the people. "Halloween is in a few nights any ways. I don't need to spend time worrying about being seen." She smiled. "Do you want to help me get a few things ready?"

"Like what?' Jack tilted his head slightly.

"Monster traps, just like in that show, Scooby Doo, but mine work!" Aurelia laughed a bit.

"Sure, I don't have much to do anyways." Jack shrugged.

Aurelia lead the way down a few streets, silent as ever. Finally, she came across a dark alley way, and gave a long, low whistle. The darkness shuddered, and a black chimera turned around. Head of a snake, body of a cat, wings of an eagle, tail of a robin and of a snake, and feet of a raptor. It looked at Aurelia with it's large green eyes and smiled.

"Jack, you remember Ripper, right?" Aurelia looked at Jack, who stared, wide eyes at the creature, looking ready to fight it back.

"That's Ripper? He was a lot smaller when I last saw him. He was sitting on your head!" Jack looked at Aurelia, confused

"Everything needs to grow up at some point. Ripper sure did." Aurelia laughed, and pet the large creature's face. "He's been guarding my portal today, now, come on!" Echo took Jack's hand and pulled him through the portal into her hide out.

The place was like a whole other world, like many the the other hide outs. It was a large, dark area, that had large stone pillars with no bottoms. There seemed to be no ground, as it fell into an unearthly darkness. The Pillars groaned out of sight as well, in to a black sky, save only for the moon. They stood guarding the entrance to a graveyard, with nameless head stones, and no grass. There was also a stone home, a large castle that was decorated with jack-o-lanterns, spider webs, and other things.

Aurelia flew into the grave yard, Jack and Ripper close behind.

"Here." Aurelia paused, just before reaching the house, and handed back a small black box.

"What's this?" Jack asked.

"Bait, don't let Ripper get it though, it's lined with a narcotic," Aurelia explained, flying skyward, and taking a long silver rope from the wall. She gathered a few more things before flying back to Jack, who was keeping the bait away from Ripper.

"Settle," Aurelia hushed her pet, placing a few things on the creature's back and tying it down. She looked at Jack. "Fly on  ahead," she said.

"Wait, why do I only have to carry this?" Jack asked. "I can help with more.

"You don't need to, trust me." Aurelia smiled, before beckoning Jack on.

Jack lead the way back to the normal world. He wasn't two steps through when he heard something. Aurelia heard it too. She glared around, and her eyes quickly caught the tail of a demon.

"Jack, stand still," Aurelia instructed, slipping off of Ripper's back, and taking a piece of the bait.

"What's that?" Jack asked, never seeing a creature like the one that was there before.

"The thing that keeps me working at least once a year," Aurelia answered quietly, taking a silver rope from the pack on Ripper's back. She walked closer to the creature, holding out the bait. It turned quickly and took the food from Aurelia. It turned a glare on her, and looked out ready to attack, when it fell, asleep, at her feet. Aurelia tied the rope around the creature and opened a small portal, where a few, oversized bats flew to Echos side. "Take it home?" Aurelia asked, holding out the rope. Happily, the bats did as asked, and flew off.

"Wow," Jack commented, walking over to Aurelia. "You weren't scared?"

"I can't be," Aurelia smiled. "If I was, I wouldn't be alive right now." She grabbed Jack's hand and pulled him along. "Come on, we have a lot of bait and traps to set!"

For the rest of the day, Aurelia and Jack set up for the monsters that were to arrive in only a few days. As Aurelia set the last trap, something ran past her. with out a second to react, she had her wand out, and had cast a spell to pin what ever it was to a wall.

"Tooth?" Aurelia said, looking at the girl.

"Oh, hello, Aurelia," Tooth was never happy to see the Halloween spirit.

"What is it?" Aurelia asked, not letting the Tooth Fairy free.

"I'm looking for Jack," Tooth explained.

"Hey Tooth," Jack said, walking over to the girl.

Aurelia released the spell on the fairy and put the wand away. "Okay, well, see you around then, Jack."

"Hold on, what is it, Tooth? Why didn't someone just use the signal?" Jack asked.

"We couldn't to that. We couldn't risk anything like that catching unwanted attention," Tooth explained.

"Unwanted attention?" Jack asked.

"Yes," Tooth nodded.

"Hold on, what's going on?" Aurelia asked.

"You shouldn't be involved," Tooth said, calmly.

"If this even touches on Halloween, I should have the right to know."

"Fine, but I don't think Bunnymund will be happy about it," Tooth sighed.

"I can put up with him." Aurelia smiled again. "Okay, how are we getting there?"

"Flight," Tooth said, as if it was the only answer there could be.

"Right, how about a portal? I can make one up, it'll be much faster," Aurelia offered kindly.

"That sounds good," Jack nodded.

"Fine," Tooth rolled her eyes.

"Hey, I know you don't like that candy is associated with my holiday, but can you be a little nicer?" Aurelia asked.

Tooth didn't answer, and Aurelia didn't argue. She opened a portal to the warren, and let Tooth and Jack through before following with Ripper.

"Oi! What is she doing here?" Bunnymund asked, surprised, seeing Aurelia walk through, with Ripper, who flew to a high area where he could rest, out of the way.

"My Holiday is coming up, and what ever you have going on, I want to know," Aurelia explained.

"And so you think you can just come here like that?" Bunnymund walked over to Aurelia, towering over her.

"Don't tempt me fluffy butt." Aurelia crossed her arms.

Bunnymund glared at Aurelia, who's broom appeared under her feet, allowing her to fly up to Bunnymund's eye level. She smiled at him, and began to scratch behind his ears, making him smile and back down. He let Aurelia scratch his ears for a few seconds before ducking away from her.

"Stop that!" Bunnymund barked.

"Really?" Aurelia tried to look serious, but could only smile, once again.

"You brought Aurelia? GOOD!" North suddenly bellowed.

"Good?" Tooth blinked.

"Same as her," Aurelia said, motioning to the hummingbird fairy guardian.

"You know about monsters!" North beamed.

"Yeah," Aurelia nodded slowly.

Sandman suddenly floated in front of Aurelia, figures appearing over his head quickly.

"You've heard news of a huge demon coming to attack the world with the gates are open? He has an army, and, you don't know how to beat him?" Aurelia looked up from Sandman to make sure what she had understood was correct.

"Well, yes," North nodded. "That is it."

"Well, in about 500 years, I was expecting something to happen, eventually." Aurelia landed on the ground again, the broom vanishing, and her scythe appearing in her hands. She looked ready for the fight.

"Hold on now, mate. We don't even know where to find this guy," Bunnymund said, grabbing the scythe, and lowering it.

"No?" Aurelia looked at Bunnymund. "Then what are we going to do? Sit around and wait?"

"That is all we can do," North explained calmly.

"Well, if we're quite done, I do have monsters to take home. I hate to come and go like this, but I know I'm not welcome here." Aurelia bowed kindly.

"Hey, I think of something!" North suddenly snapped his fingers together. "How about we come too!"

"That may not be a good idea," Aurelia said, with a nervous laugh. "I don't like to get anyone close to the monsters."

"And yet you let them run around with out punishment?" Tooth asked.

"Look, It's not that easy. I have to go. I don't think Bunny wants me here much longer anyways. All things considered, last time I was here, I kind of painted all of the eggs halloween colors." Aurelia smiled at Bunnymund, and laughed as he gave her a disgruntled look. Quickly opening a portal, Aurelia waved, just as Ripped picked her up, flying her through the portal.

"She is not a guardian, but she protects," North said, looking around.

"Don't go getting any ideas, mate." Bunnymund stepped forward. "We're still getting used to Jack being one of us."

"I don't know, I don't think she would be that bad as a guardian," Jack shrugged.

"Well, unless Manny says so, she'll just stay a spirit," Tooth spoke sharply.

"I know, but maybe, if we talk to him," North began.

"Why do you want her to be a Guardian, anyways?" Bunnymund asked North.

"She is good at heart, I see that! She has much potential as Guardian," North explained. "But, we must let Man in moon decide."

The moon suddenly glowed strongly. All eyes turned to Manny. The moon was silent for a moment, before explaining what he wanted.

"So, you want us to give her reason to want to be Guardian?" North asked.

"That's not too hard," Jack said. "Don't we all want to be believed in?"

"Not her, mate. When I was younger, she told me that," Bunnymund said.

"How long have you known her?" Jack asked.

Bunnymund didn't answer. He, instead, looked to North.

"Well, let her talk to us, she change her mind," North smiled.

"Does this mean we're going after her?" Tooth asked.

"Yes." North opened his own portal, his sleigh rattling over to him. He hopped on, and motioned for everyone to follow. Everyone climbed on, except for Bunnymund.

"Not this time, mate." He shook his head.

"Come on Bunny!" North pushed, but Bunnymund, was already gone, jumping into his own form of portal.

Aurelia was flying on her broom again, standing, as usual. Ripper was on her tail, keeping her safe. There was no monsters out at that time luckily for them. They weren't bored though, having fun looking for the hidden traps, and even finding old ones from the year before. Ripper stopped, hearing a noise. Aurelia stopped as well, following the noise. It was North.

"Hey North!" Aurelia flew up to the sleigh, flying next to it. "What brings you here?"

"Looking for monsters!" North smiled.

"Huh, me too!" Aurelia smiled. "They're not out right now though."

"Oh really?" North asked. "Then what is that?" He motioned to a demented minotaur.

"Something you shouldn't get close to, watch and learn." Aurelia dove, and was nearly to the monster, when a rabbit hole appeared behind the creature, Bunnymund jumping out. Bunnymund attempted to attack the creature, only to get thrown back.

"Never face the horns, you have to take them," Aurelia explained, grabbing the horns of the creature, and driving him to the ground. She pulled out some of her narcotic and fed it to the creature, which passed out moments later.

North landed not too far from Aurelia and Bunnymund, clapping. "Good!" He beamed.

Aurelia turned to North, blinking. "Oh, okay, mind helping me then?" She asked.

"Sure thing!" North grinned.

"Okay, can you move your sleigh, Ripper needs a place to land." Aurelia smiled kindly.

"Oh yes!" North nodded, and motioned for his reindeer to move. Tooth, Sandman, and Jack jumped off the sleigh as it was pulled away. Ripper landed, and gave Aurelia some of her rope. Aurelia tied the creature up, and opened her bat portal again, asking them to carry it off to it's home.

"You take care of monsters well, Aurelia," North commented.

"It's sort of my job. 505 years ago it was given to me. I've had some time to practice." Aurelia nodded. "What brings you guys here though? I wasn't thinking any of you would follow me."

"We were thinking," began North.

"We want to know if you want to be a guardian," Jack said, not wanting to dance around the point.

"Me?" Aurelia laughed a bit. "You're kidding, right? Manny needs to decide that, and knowing him, I'm not chosen to be a Guardian. Look, I don't mind being as I am, I don't think I need to be a Guardian to be a friend, you're not is some exclusive club where you can't have friends outside of it."

"Don't you want to be known though?" Bunnymund asked.

"Some dyes, but, when I really think about it, why should I be rewarded for something I should be doing anyways? I enjoy what I'm doing, and known or not, seen or invisible, I'll keep doing it." Aurelia looked at the Guardians that were around her. "Why should I change any of that?"

North smiled, and chuckled. "You are very brave and kind for saying such things. You have all qualities of being Guardian."

"But I'd rather stay a spirit." Aurelia nodded kindly. "Thank you for the offer." She climbed onto Ripper's back. "And if you would like, you can join me in my monster hunt, the bewitching hour is upon us, and they should be coming out soon. Do not kill the monsters, however. That will not bring any sort of good." Aurelia left on that note, Ripper taking off to patrol the skies again.

"What did I tell you?" Bunnymund looked to the Guardians. "She doesn't want to be a Guardian."

"Well, good for her," Tooth crossed her arms.

"Come now, Tooth. Do not tell me you do not want another girl as a Guardian!" North looked at Tooth, who frowned.

"I just on't think we need her," Tooth shrugged.

There was a growl, and all eyes turned to the street as a demon moved in to attack a drunk man, staggering home. Aurelia suddenly jumped between the two, and pushed back the demon with a snapping chain. The demon turned sharply and left after a few moments, retiring it it's portal. Aurelia looked at the Guardians, and waved to them, before jumping onto her broom, racing off.

No one said anything after that, and began their own monster hunts, getting in their practice for the monster to come.

The next day, Aurelia was at home, walking around her graveyard, after hearing a disturbance. It didn't take her long, finding a flower next to one of the graves. She smiled, chuckling to herself. "Don't make me find you, Bunny," Aurelia called out.

"Oi, do you mind moving your house?" Bunnymund asked, walking over to Aurelia, a bony hand clamped to his shoulder. Aurelia laughed, taking the hand off of the rabbit.

"I'm just surprised you get here when you use your tunnels," Aurelia responded, looking at Bunnymund. "What do you want now?" She asked.

"I was just looking for someone to talk to, that's all." Bunnymund shrugged.

"You drew the short stick to convince me into being a Guardian," Aurelia translated, frowning. "My decision is final. I do not need to be a Guardian to know that I'm doing what I'm supposed to. The moon put me here to fight back monsters, that's all I need to do, recognized or not."

"You're very stubborn on your decisions, ain't ya?" Bunnymund frowned a bit.

"More than just a bit." Aurelia turned back to her house. "You can go now, if you want, or you can come in. I don't care either way really."

"This ain't like you, what's wrong, mate?" Bunnymund said, stopping Aurelia. "Nothing, I'm just tired," Aurelia shrugged. "It was a long night last night. Even Ripper is tired."

"Right," Bunnymund rolled his eyes.

"It's true!" Aurelia turned to Bunnymund. "Unless you want me to wake up and be normal, maybe you should stop pushing it it."

"That's it, something's wrong," Bunnymund looked down at Aurelia. "You're not the kind to make threats like that, you just do. What happened?"

"Nothing happened!" Aurelia snapped.

Bunnymund crossed his arms. "Aurelia," he spoke strongly.

"Geeze, mom. Get off my back!" Aurelia's broom appeared under her, and she flew off.

"Mom? Oi! You have your genders confused!" Bunnymund yelled after Aurelia.

Aurelia sat high in the sky on her broom, looking down at her house, watching as Bunnymund left in a huff. She sighed, and looked up at the moon. "Manny, what do you think?" She asked.

Nothing.

Aurelia's eyes fell back to her house. The night before had been hard for her. She had been going around, fighting monsters, when something happened that shouldn't have happened. She didn't take a life, no, she avoided that, but as she was walking around, one of the monsters attacked someone. The poor mortal was thrown into a wall, and knocked out. Aurelia had been able to fight the monster back, but the human didn't look good. They had been out on the streets before, taking walks. Once every week they did this, apparently unable to get to sleep. Aurelia had seen them around.

When Aurelia had gone to help the man, to take him to a place where he could get help, he had woken up, and seen her.

"Who are you?" The manhood asked, his voice in shock.

"Just a friendly soul, are you feeling all right?" Aurelia answered the man, she tried her best not to sound surprised.

"What happened?" The man didn't answer the question at first.

"Something attacked you. I took care of it, now, are you feeling all right?" Aurelia spoke kindly.

"Yes, just fine, a little shaken. But, what attacked me?" The man sat up, looking at Aurelia.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Now, I suggest getting home, sir. before anything else happens." Aurelia stood up, and beg to walk away.

"Wh-where'd she go?" The man asked as Aurelia paused.

Aurelia's eyes had fallen to the round, as they were as she remembered what happened. It felt nice to be seen. She kind of liked the feeling, but at the same time, it scared her. If she could be seen, that meant people were going to get hurt. She didn't want that to happen.

Aurelia eventually floated back down to the ground, and landed next to an open rabbit hole. She sat down and looked into it. "You're still here?" Aurelia asked, but there was no answer. Confused, she jumped down the hole, falling into the warren, where everyone was again.

"See? I told you she'd come if we left an open rabbit hole," Jack said, smiling smugly.

Aurelia stood up and looked at the guardians. "Thanks, I'll remember not to fall for it next time," she said, and brushed the dirt off of her witch's cloak.

"What is wring Aurelia?" North asked, looking concerned.

"Nothing, okay? Can't you just believe me?" Aurelia said, glaring slightly.

North shook his head. "Aurelia, there is no point hiding. We all see something wrong."

Aurelia looked at North. "It was a long night, I'm tired," she spoke slowly, hoping to make everyone believe her.

Sandman floated over to Aurelia, shaking his head. He shook his finger at Aurelia, scolding her for lying. Aurelia looked into the small Guardian's yellow eyes, and sighed.

"It's none of your concern," Aurelia spoke quietly to Sandman, walking around him, getting ready to go home. Sandman stopped her again, though, grabbing her shoulder.

"Aurelia," Jack spoke, walking over to the Halloween spirit.

"Let it go!" Aurelia said strongly. "Just go back to playing games, and getting ready for your holidays, or collecting teeth, or bringing good dreams to children, or what ever. I have to rest."

"We don't want you to be so upset, it's better just to say something," Jack explained.

"I'm scared, there, happy now? I'm scared of what's coming up. I don't think I'm ready to take on any problem like this," Aurelia said angrily.

"You won't be alone!" North beamed. "You have us."

"I don't want you guys getting hurt though, you're not used to fighting monsters. If this thing is as bad as you're making it out to be, I don't want anyone but me and Ripper dealing with it. I don't need anyone getting hurt on my holiday," Aurelia explained strongly. "Please."

"We can not do that." North stepped up, looking harshly down at Aurelia.

"You do not scare me, North, now, stand down. Monsters are not part of your job description, they are part of mine," Aurelia said.

"It s our job to protect the children of the world. This concerns us," North continued.

Aurelia glared up at North for a few moments. She finally stepped back, her eyes falling away from North. "Fine, but do not get over your head," she said.

"We won't, mate," Bunnymund promised.

"I'm serious," Aurelia added.

"Don't worry," Jack said, "you'll be here to help us, and you're strong enough to keep us from getting too far over our heads."

Aurelia nodded to Jack. "Okay," she said. Her eyes turned to Tooth. "Maybe you should sit out though, we can't let those pretty little feathers of your get ruined."

Tooth glared at Aurelia, who gave her her signature smiled. "I can take care of myself!" Tooth said, glaring harshly at Aurelia.

"Right, so, what  were you planning to use again? Your teeth?" Aurelia crossed her arms, in thought.

Tooth flew over to the other girl, her feathers fluffing out in anger. She was about to say something, when Jack and Bunnymund pulled the two apart.

"We don't have time for this," Bunnymund said. "Come on, Aurelia, I need to talk to you," he added, leading the halloween spirit away.

"What is it?" Aurelia asked, confused. "If this is about being a guardian again, I'm not listening."

"This is not my decision. North asked me to do this," explained the rabbit.

"I'm not listening," Aurelia crossed her arms.

"Look, you're as much a guardian as we are. Manny says that if you would like to be a guardian, he has nothing against it," Bunnymund explained, trying to remember what North had said to tell the girl.

"Well, you can tell Moony that, I would like to thank you for the offer, but, I will have to decline." Aurelia stopped walking.

"Right, I keep telling everyone that, but no one will listen," Bunnymund explained.

"Maybe they should start." Aurelia sat back, her broom appearing behind her. "I would, if I were them."

Bunnymund looked at Aurelia, looking a bit surprised at her words. "We do listen, most of the time," he started.

"Most of the time, but no one wants to be proved wrong," Aurelia shrugged, flying a bit higher.

"Oi, get down here," Bunnymund said.

"Sorry, I'm thinking again. When I start thinking, this thing starts flying higher." Aurelia said, hovering down to the ground again.

"What were you thinking about?" Bunnymund asked.

"A lot of things. Don't worry about it. Mainly Ripper though. He's probably worried." Aurelia looked away from Bunnymund.

"Why would he be worried?" Bunnymund asked.

"He's still a baby. He needs his caretaker," Aurelia explained.

"That creature's a baby?" Bunnymund said, looking shocked.

"Yeah." Aurelia nodded lightly.

"Hard to believe, with that creature's size," Bunnymund said lowly.

Aurelia laughed, and span on her broom a few times. "Some times, but he's just a big baby!" She looked at Bunnymund again. "Hey, what's that?" She asked, seeing something in Bunnymund's hand.

"A gift from North, it's a russian stacking doll, or, the last one," Bunnymund explained, showing a small wooden rabbit that had no true figure other than a bean.

"What's it for?" Aurelia asked.

"North wanted me to explain something about your center. I don't think it's worth it though." Bunnymund shrugged.

"A center?" Aurelia asked.

"Who you are," Bunnymund reexplained.

"Cute, North loves doing things like this, huh?" Aurelia asked.

"It seems that way," Bunnymund chuckled.

Jack suddenly flew over to the two. "Hey, trouble!" He said.

"With what?" Aurelia asked.

"Looks like there was an out break," Jack explained.

"This early? Confound it!" Jack and Bunnymund snickered at Aurelia's words. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, laugh it up boys, but I'll be the one laughing when mini demons have you running for what you think is your life," Aurelia said, before opening a portal to her home, and a second one to the mortal world. "Ripper!" She called, before the creature let through the second portal. "Catch you two around!" Aurelia smiled before leaving, following her pet.

In the human world, Aurelia's eyes flew around, seeing quite a number of creatures causing chaos. She glared, and flew down at a group of them, stalking a small child.

"Picking on someone this small? How sad," Aurelia pulled out her wand and brandished it at the creatures. "Go home now!" She ordered. The creatures didn't move. Aurelia's wand top glowed with a bright golden light, and lashed at the creatures, the magic striking out in long strands, surrounding the creatures. "Fine, I'll take you home." The magic tightened around the creatures and picked them up. With her free hand, Aurelia opened a portal, and threw the creatures in, closing the portal before more monsters could get through.

Aurelia's eyes turned to the child, who had dropped their toy, and was trying to clean it off. A few other girls, a little older than the child with the toy, began to poke fun at them for carrying around the "old rag", as they called it. Aurelia's eyes narrowed at the children, raising her wand. The child began to cry, dropping their toy and running away. Aurelia's wand glowed, and the toy sat up, looking around at the girl. who all were taken aback. The toy stood next, and walked to the girls, who backed off. It then pointed back at it's owners, Aurelia changing the toy's face to it looked like it was glaring.

"I think it wants us to apologize," muttered one of the girls.

"No duh," snapped another.

"I don't want to get any closer to that thing!"

The girls ran off, and the toy dropped lifelessly to the ground. Aurelia picked it up, and stepped onto her broom, flying after the child, finding them in a room, crying still. Aurelia frowned softly and stepped into the room. She placed the toy down, sitting it up at the end of the bed, before simply leaving.

"That was nice of you," Jack said, hovering outside of the window.

"You would have done the same thing," Aurelia said, shrugging. "It's not like it's a big deal."

"I guess you're right," Jack nodded.

Aurelia's eye suddenly caught something. Her scythe appeared in her hand, and she swung it over Jack's head. Jack ducked, looking terrified. There was a loud screech, and a bat like demon jumped up, glaring down at Aurelia and Jack.

"Home, now," Aurelia ordered. The demon didn't argue, and left with that.

"I thought you said no killing!" Jack said.

"I didn't kill it, didn't you notice?" Aurelia's scythe vanished, being replaced with her wand. "Come on, Ripper's calling." She motioned to Jack to follow, and flew off.

Ripper was surrounded by a mess of demons and monsters, screeching at them to get back, but unable to ward them away. Aurelia's eyes narrowed, and she few over to Ripper, her broom vanishing, sending her into a free fall onto Ripper's head. Her scythe appeared in her hand as she muttered a spell. The blade of the scythe sparked into a golden glow, before the glow burst into a flame. Aurelia swung the scythe in front of the creatures, and all of them were pulled into the glow, shrieking.

"Sorry Ripper, are you okay?" Aurelia let the scythe vanished, and hugged her pet's neck. Ripper whimpered, and looked at Aurelia. "I'm sorry. I should have never left you," Aurelia pet Ripper, and took a deep breath. "Do you want to go home?" Ripper shook his head, and looked at Jack.

"Hey, Ripper," Jack asked. He landed on the ground, and pet the beast. "Uhm, Aurelia, how did you do that?"

"Oh, that was an extreme way of thrusting the demons and monsters back home. It takes a lot of energy," Aurelia answered.

"Oh, do you want to rest?" Jack asked.

"That's what I'm doing now," Aurelia answered, laying on Ripper's back.

Jack chuckled and looked at Aurelia. "Right," he said.

"What? Do you think I'm lying?" Aurelia asked, smiling. "Because then you're right. I'm not resting until I pass out on my couch!" She stood up, and Ripper took off. Aurelia and Ripper quickly helped the guardians get the creatures back home.

As the night turned to day, Aurelia was chasing down a final demon on her broom. The guardians were following her, watching as she closed in on the demon. She noticed a closing gate way to the demon's home, and quickly chased the creature into it, just before it closed. Aurelia smiled, and looked back to the other guardians.

"That was the last of them, until tomorrow." Aurelia smiled before suddenly falling from her broom, asleep.

North pushed his sleigh after the falling girl. Jack flying a head of it, Ripper coming from the apposing direction. Jack and Ripper couldn't stop stone enough. Ripper grabbed Jack, and summersaulted in the air, causing North to pull his sleigh up to avoid a collision. A rabbit hole appeared under where Aurelia was falling, ad Bunnymund jumped out of it, catching the girl, who was in a deep sleep.

"What was that about?" Bunnymund asked as Jack, Ripper, and North landed.

"She used a lot of energy last night, and didn't rest," Jack explained.

Sandy looked at Aurelia and frowned lightly, not seeing her dreaming. He looked back to Tooth, who looked kind of worried for the girl.

"Do you think she's okay?" Tooth asked.

"She will be fine, she just needs rest. Come, we take her to the pole," North said.

Ripper barked, and shook his head.

"The pole is too cold for Ripper, mate," Bunnymund said. "We can take her home."

"Not good idea," North shook his head. Ripper joined him.

"What's wrong with her home?" Jack asked.

"Unless Aurelia is awake, the house will attack. It is defense so she is not hurt when she is sleeping," North said.

"You tried to deliver presents to her?" Jack asked.

"Only once," North admitted.

"Well, she's not coming to my place," Tooth said.

Sandy shook his head, and motioned to his dust.

"That just leaves the warren," Jack looked at Bunnymund.

"I know," Bunnymund sighed. He tapped his foot on the ground, and then looked at Ripper. "I don't think he can make it though," Bunnymund added.

"No problem!" North took out a snow globe and tossed it into the air. The portal to the Warren opened, and Ripper walked through, everyone following the creature, leaving Bunny to close the rabbit hole and follow with Aurelia.

A few hours passed, and Aurelia woke up, yawning heavily. She looked next to her to see Ripper, smiling at her, his big eyes staring, unblinking, and happy. "This isn't home," Aurelia said, noticing a small egg behind Ripper. "We're at Bunny's warren."

"Right you are," Bunnymund said, walking over to Aurelia.

"Why though?" Aurelia stood up, tilting her head lightly.

"You fell asleep after chasing back the last demon. After that, all of us decided to take you here. We've been keeping the monsters at bay while you've been out," Bunnymund explained.

"Huh, thanks." Aurelia nodded. "I can take over again now," she continued.

"No you don't mate, you need to save your energy," Bunnymund shook his head.

"Why? It's not like anyone cared before," Aurelia said, crossing her arms.

Bunnymund sat Aurelia down, and sat in front of her. "We all did. You're a lot like one of us. We would have helped you if we saw you hurt before."

"But I'm not hurt," Aurelia said.

"I know," Bunnymund nodded. "Also, Jack told me what you did, he told all of us," he continued.

"About what?' Aurelia looked confused.

"The little kid you helped out," Bunnymund explained.

"Oh, yeah, the kid. Again, you all would have done the same. It's not like I was doing anything out of the ordinary. The kid needed help, and those girls were jerks." Aurelia leaned on Ripper.

"You stopped what you were doing to protect a child, without being asked," Bunnymund began.

"And without asking for any sort of reward. Let it go. I want to stay as I am. If the kids saw me, it wouldn't have been as affective, would it?"

"No, it wouldn't have been. I was about to say, I am going to talk to everyone to tell them that maybe making you a Guardian is a mistake, and that you should stay as a spirit, helping without being seen. You're good at that."

Aurelia looked at Bunnymund, surprised. "You were?"

"I was."

Aurelia sat up and hugged Bunnymund. "Thank you," she said. "That means so much to me."

Bunnymund smiled at Aurelia, hugging her back. "It's nothing."

"Okay, sorry!" Aurelia let got of Bunnymund, and looked back at Ripper. "Okay, so, where is everyone else?"

"Here," Jack said, walking from behind Ripper, Tooth, Sandy, and North following. "So, you're not going to be a guardian?" Jack asked.

"No, I still want to stay like this," Aurelia answered.

"We better be getting ready, the demon will be coming soon, Manny told us," North said, looking at Aurelia. "Are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be, are you ready though, is the question." Aurelia stood, and took her boom in her hand.

"Then let us get ready," North beamed.

(Picture to be added eventually)

Sorry, I know, this is an OC thing. *Fails* I love my OC's, and this one is no different. If people like it, I'll put up part 2, if not, I'll delete this, and we can all pretend nothing happened. Sound fair? Either way, I am finishing this, and you can look forward to seeing her in one of my drawings.

So, yes, A "Rise of the Guardians" FF with an OC. I enjoyed writing it, there's minimal editing in it, so, if you read through it and find something, you can tell me, and I can fix it. (Really, I do not catch half of my Typos. Also, Aurelia's original name was Echo, if you see that, tell me so I can fix it!) And in Part 2, you'll see what is behind her name, what it means, if you can't guess, and all that fun!
